How it Works

How it Works

A Squared Cayman is a home decor service offered to all residents of the Cayman Islands.  With offices in Grand Cayman and Miami, we offer a full service for everything you may need for your home, office, or business.  You can shop on our site or you can order from other brands and our team will make sure your orders are delivered safely and economically to your home.  All orders will be confirmed by email and payment instructions will be attached to your confirmation.  You will have 48 hours to submit the final payment for your order to avoid cancellation.   We gladly accept cheques and bank transfers.  

Deposit

Deposits are required for all Curated orders.  Curated orders are customized to your specifications with one of our in-house Interior Designers. Orders will not be fully acknowledged until the deposit payment is received. All deposits are non-refundable.

Prices, Quantity + Specifications

A Squared reserves the right to change prices at any time.  All prices will be guaranteed for confirmed orders.  

Personal Shopper

The Personal Shopper service is avaialble to any resident of the Cayman Islands.  There is a minmum rate of $75 per hour for a personal shopper for the first hour and an additional $75 per hour after.  Any items purcahsed that may require additional package & handling will be billed accordingly.  Estimates will be submitted for approval prior by the client.

Cancellation

Cancellations may only occur if an item has not shipped from the supplier.  Any orders that have not shipped from the freight forwarder may be cancelled, but are subject to a return fee. Orders that have shipped from the freight forwarder may not be canceled.  

Freight + Duty Costs

Freigh + Duty

All furniture includes domestic freight from supplier to freight forwarder, ocean freight into the Cayman Islands with a minimum purchase of $5,000CI.  The duty will be charged upon entry in the Cayman Islands.  You will be provided with a freight estimate for all orders received for individual pieces that do not meet the minimum requirements. Items purchased through Peronsal Shopper program are subject to additional freight charges if pick up is involved.  Freight timelines are subject to change at the time of loading due to various reasons beyond our control, for example, the actual size of finished goods, mode of stacking in container or truck, and peak season for shipping. All back ordered items will be shipped to freight forwarder free of charge, but all ocean freight charges, duties, and deliveries are the responsibility of the client.

Care Instructions

Tips For All Furniture

  • Blot spills with a clean, natural fiber white cloth immediately.

  • Avoid direct heat and sunlight

  • Dust and vacuum regularly

  • Avoid using household cleaners, spot removers, waxes, and products that contain ammonia.

  • Do not set hot or damp items directly on furniture.

  • Use felt pads to protect surfaces from scratches and imprints.

  • If necessary, use a shim to ensure furniture sits evenly.

  • Do not leave newspapers or other printed material lying on the surface.

Upholstery

  • Vacuum and rotate cushions periodically.

  • Professional upholstery cleaners are recommended for optimal results.

Leather

Under normal usage/conditions regular dusting and vacuum cleaning in crevices or bottoms is all that is necessary to clean your furniture. The use of a good leather conditioner is recommended every 6-12 months. For minor spots and spills, wipe up any excess liquid immediately with a clean absorbent cloth or sponge. If necessary, use a lightly moistened soft cloth with clean lukewarm water and let air dry naturally. If water is used, clean the entire area where the spot occurred. Do not use soap or soak the stain heavily with water. This may cause more damage than the stain itself. If the stain persists, it is recommended that the leather be cleaned by a professional leather specialist to avoid any potential damage to the leather. For butter, oil, or grease wipe off excess with a clean dry cloth and then leave alone as the spot should dissipate into the leather after a short period of time.
Do not use saddle soap, cleaning solvents, furniture polish, oils, varnish, abrasive cleaners, detergent soaps, or ammonia water. To minimize fading, avoid placing furniture in direct sunlight or heat. Always try any cleaning method in a hidden area first to convince yourself of the results. For minor or slight scratches on the surface, use a chamois or clean fingers to gently buff the scratch. If needed, moisten lightly with distilled water to work scratches out. Remember that leather is a natural product and requires some care to maintain the natural beauty of the hide.

Wood

Dust regularly with a damp cloth. Wipe dry. Irregularities such as sapwood, knots, and uneven coloration should be expected in natural wood. These character marks are a part of the inherent beauty of natural woods. Over time, air and daylight will change the color of natural wood. Occasionally rotate items placed on the wood to allow a uniform color to develop.
To ensure even coloration of extension table leaves, expose them to the same light as your table. Once the leaves have reached mature coloration, they may be stored flat and top-down. Fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels may cause wood to warp, swell, or shrink. Keeping furniture doors closed will help minimize changes in this most commonly affected part of the furniture. Avoid contact with rubber bumpers and candle wax; they may react with the wood's finish and leave a stain.

 

Metal

Dust regularly with a damp cloth. Wipe dry. Don’t use harsh chemicals or cleaning solutions. Wipe spills immediately to avoid any potential rust.

 

Outdoor Furniture

Aluminum is designed to require minimal care. Regular maintenance will extend its life and keep it looking beautiful. Regular cleaning with DAWN dish detergent and water is recommended. Frames should not be used in standing water or submerged in water for any reason. Frames should be stored in an upright position to allow moisture to drain. Inspect the nylon glides on the bottom of the legs regularly and replaces them to protect the frame and the resting surface. Sling, strap, polycarbonate & polypropylene products have been factory treated to resist stains and mildew. Regular cleaning with DAWN dish detergent and water using a sponge or soft brush is recommended. To remove mildew stains use a solution of one (1) cap full bleach mixed in a gallon of warm water. Apply to the seating surface, allow to soak for ten (10) minutes, thoroughly rinse, and allow to air dry before using. Pressure washing equipment should not be used. The use of commercial degreasers is not recommended. Cushion fabric should be cleaned regularly to curtail the build-up of dirt, mold, and mildew. This will not allow dirt mold and mildew to accumulate and become embedded in the fabric. Brush off any dirt and clean with a solution of water and MILD soap. Rinse thoroughly to remove the soap. The cushion fabric is heat sensitive. During washing and cleaning DO NOT SUBJECT THE MATERIAL TO EXCESSIVE HEAT as it will shrink. DO NOT STEAM PRESS OR DRY IN ELECTRIC OR GAS DRYERS. Always allow the fabric to air dry. All fabrics stored during the winter season should be cleaned, air-dried, and stored in a dry, well-ventilated area. For Sunbrella fabrics please see Care & Cleaning at www.sunbrella.com for specific cleaning instructions.Proper product care is essential for preserving your rights under this warranty. Failure to perform required product care will void this warranty.

Damages

You have 72 hours to notify us of any damages that have occurred by shipping or a factory defect that has been noticed.   The delivery carrier is directly responsible for all damage (including all concealed damage) that occurs in transit. The customer should immediately request an inspection upon the receipt of any damaged cartons. All packing materials should be kept in the event of a damaged delivery. Only the consignee can file a claim with the freight carrier. Each claim will need to be documented with detailed photographs.  Please contact us immediately at shop@asquaredaway.com

Product Warranty

Interior Furniture

A Squared Cayman provides a one-year conditional warranty for all custom products. We warrant the goods sold to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. Under this warranty, our obligation shall be limited to replacing or repairing any goods deemed defective beginning immediately after delivery to the original purchaser. This warranty does not cover any COM, COL, and/or other customer provided applications. Our warranty does not apply to any damage caused by shipping, misuse, abuse, or ordinary wear and tear. We do not cover the loss of use or loss of revenue with our warranty.

Outdoor Furniture

A Squared Cayman offers a 3-year limited warranty of properly maintained frame finishes from cracking/flaking/peeling under normal use. Frames must be cleaned regularly to avoid salt build-up. This warranty does not cover minor variations in color and texture of finishes or minor surface imperfections of aluminum frames that may be highlighted by smooth finishes.

A Squared Cayman offers a 1-year limited warranty on woven products, polycarbonate & polypropylene.  Umbrella frames are warranted against splitting, rusting, and manufacturer’s defects for 1 year. Fabrics on cushions, patio and market umbrellas, strap, and slings for one (1) year against tearing, discoloration, fading, or workmanship.

The following are not covered under warranty.

  • Failure due to unreasonable, unanticipated, or abusive use

  • Failure by lack of reasonable and/or necessary care and maintenance

  • Acrylic table tops with umbrella holes

  • Changes in wood color due to natural aging

  • Minor variations in color and texture of finishes

  • Finish failure from seaside use caused by neglecting to provide reasonable and necessary care

Proper Product care is essential for preserving your rights under this warranty. Failure or neglect to perform required product care will void this warranty. Please refer to Care Instructions. 

Return of Goods Ordered

You may return merchandise purchased to A Squared Cayman if it meets the criteria below.  Merchandise paid by cash or check will be refunded by check and mailed.No returned goods will be accepted for any Curated orders. All Curated packages are custom made to order and will not be allowed for return.

All shipping charges are non-refundable. The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs. All returned merchandise must be in "like new" condition and in its original packaging. Proof of purchase is required and return authorization must be obtained prior to the return of shipment. An order cannot be canceled once it has shipped. If you decide to cancel your order after shipment, a restocking fee may apply and the customer will be responsible for all shipping charges. Upon receipt and inspection of the returned merchandise, we will issue the refund within 2-3 business days. If A Squared Cayman provided the return shipping label or scheduled the return shipping logistics, the return shipping cost will be deducted from your total refund amount.

Branding

A Squared Cayman reserve the right to brand all furniture that is produced for clients through this site..  A Squared Cayman reserve the right to advertise or market any products produced by A Squared Design Studio or our brand partners.

Finishes

Due to various parts of furniture components, finish colors may vary slightly. A Squared Cayman will not be held liable for color variation.
